Vulnerability of Young babies campaign week 28th September - 02nd October 2026

Slough Safeguarding Children Partnership invites professionals from all sectors to join a week of learning (28th September - 02nd October 2026) focused on the themes emerging from national safeguarding reviews and local practice experience.
Throughout the week, there will be a series of free online seminars (link below) exploring key safeguarding topics including:
- Childhood Neglect- It's impact on Infant Brain Development and consequences across the lifespan
- Pre-Birth assessments
- Parental substance use impact of unborn babies and infants
- Those who don't bruise: bruising in non mobile babies
- National Experience: learning about practice, safeguarding young babies
- Getting to know your Best Start family hub in Slough
- Supporting Neurodivergent and Neurotypical Parents: understanding needs, reducing ricks and strengthening infant wellbeing and families
These sessions are free to attend for anyone working with children.
Through shared learning, reflection and discussion, we will enhance our awareness and understanding of how we support and respond to the need of babies and families.
