What to do when an adult needs help training
Multi-Agency training for Slough professionals (including those in the voluntary sector) who work with adults and families.
Aims and Objectives: This training aims to increase awareness and provide you with tools to effectively respond to adults who require help and support (who may or may not have care and support needs). This includes a focus on Safeguarding Adults.
By the end of the course you will :
- Consider an adult’s journey from universal services and beyond.
- Learn about Slough services and the community support landscape.
- Follow an ‘actual’ adult’s journey through Slough in accessing support & help.
- Acquire details of the resources and services.
- Focus and learn about key areas of Safeguarding Adults
- Apply ‘MSP’ and the ‘Think Family approaches.’
- Have a toolkit to use in your day to day work.
This training is for those colleagues who have already undertaken safeguarding training provided by their own organisation.
Please note, this is a pilot training session and your feedback will be used to further develop and enhance this training course.
