Safeguarding Children at risk of harm outside the home training
Training for all professionals working with Children and Young people who are at risk of harm outside the home.
Training Aims :
- To be clear on the outcomes of the SPR Homicide
- Be aware of the importance of including the child’s voice in your decision making, ensuring there is a trauma informed approach.
- Know the importance of working with parents and carers as protective factors where applicable
- Understand the importance of multi-agency collaboration with a range of partners including their roles, responsibilities and perspectives
- Recognise how responses to harms outside the home require flexibility and creativity, in order to best meet the needs of children and truly reduce risk
- Increased self-awareness and confidence in challenging use of language that is adultifying and victim blaming, recognising appropriate language
This training is for those colleagues who have already undertaken safeguarding training provided by their own organisation.
